The South African National Rugby squad, Springboks, has a new coach.

Allister Coetzee was announced as the new coach on 12 April at the Supersport headquarters at Multichoice in Randburg.

“It is a watershed moment for our game with new players developing alongside a spine of experience and it was the right time to have a new man guiding the Springboks for the foreseeable future,” added Hoskins.

Diggers Rugby Club in Malanshof Marc Baker said, “Coetzee is going to make a fantastic coach for the National squad. He has a great pedigree and a proven track record.”

“We as a local rugby club will be backing him completely,” he added.

Chairperson of Pirates Rugby Club in Greenside, Brad Guymer commented, “He comes with a lot of experience and he should bring in a new brand and style of play for the Springboks, which will be great to see.”

According to the SA Rugby, Coetzee has had a long history in South African rugby.
