King David Victory Park Primary School’s annual major production, Providence, was held for residents of the Selwyn Segal Centre, Sandringham Gardens and Thuthuzela Orphanage.

The young actors and actresses performed on the afternoon of 25 June as the audience sat bopping along to musical classics such as Mama Mia and Footloose.

“The guests were extremely excited to enjoy the afternoon out and praised the young talented stars who entertained the crowd throughout every scene,” Nirvana Rogers, the school’s marketing manager said.

Jeanette Isikov from Sandringham Gardens was interviewed during the play and said she enjoyed every minute of it and mentioned how the play’s music and dancing was infectious. “I’m even moving and dancing along to it. Thank you, King David Victory Park, for giving us this opportunity to see the play,” she said.

The school also had two special guests watch their play: Andrew Baker and Renos Spanoudes.

Baker is King David High School’s principal and Spanoudes is a renowned teacher, actor, radio- and television presenter as well as an award- winning writer.

“I’m blown away – there’s such a wealth of talent coming our way to the high school,” said Spanoudes.
